Downloaded over 1000 times in the first few days of release, and read online by many more, "Arrival" is definitely making a splash.

The short story was written by VH Folland, author of Fire Season, and released through Twitter to promote the book's launch. After picking up over 6,000 readers in its first release, Arrival was made available online through Smashwords and other sites as a free download and seems to be just as popular.

Set in the remote town of Brooke's Vale and its small airstrip, "Arrival" occurs several years before Fire Season and is about the arrival of one of Brooke's Vale's more unusual residents.

Available for Kindle and other eReader formats, Arrival can be downloaded or read online at http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/33381
